*Top Ten Books I Read Before I Was A Blogger*
*In NO Particular Order*
Seriously, before I started blogging, I just read middle-grade books and didn't actually know about the teenage section really. Note that I was thirteen years old and still reading middle-grade novels. Embarrassing right? I'm so glad that I have become involved in the blogosphere and Goodreads as I have found amazing books, and I am glad that I now read books for my age instead of semi-middle-grade/younger teenage fiction.
1. Twilight - Stephenie Meyer
I first read Twilight when I was 12 years old, and I absolutely loved it! Since joining Goodreads and the blogosphere I see the faults that people have seen with Twilight and I've been wanting to do a re-read to see if my overall impression of it has changed. However...I think I might just naturally be a Twilight fan! *cowers* *bats away the rotten vegetables been thrown*
2. Life As We Knew It - Susan Beth Pffefer
I think I read Life As We Knew It a month before I started my blog. A friend had recommended it to me, and the day I read it I was actually sick with flu or something and had a day off school, I read Life As We Knew It in one day. Even now thinking about it, I can't get over its epicness. I want to buy me the trilogy (still haven't read the last two) and re-read it every year as t's seriously the most haunting book I have EVER read.
3. Journey to the River Sea - Eva Ibbotson
My friend bought me this for my birthday and when I read it I completely fell in love with the setting, the characters and the story. Eva Ibbotson is one of my favourite authors and it is my goal to read all of her books.
4. The Frog Princess - E.D. Baker
Oh my gosh, I love love LOVE LOOOOVVEE this series and this author! I have only read the first 3 books but I will read them all once I have them all! The Frog Princess is such a fantastic, magical series and I can't wait to re-read the first three books!
5. Running Wild - Michael Morpurgo
I love Michael Morpurgo's books, they always contain a heart-warming story and Running Wild was one of his best ones yet!
6. The Name of This Book is Secret - Pseudonymous Bosch
I also read the first few books in this series just before I started blogging and loved it! The books intrigue you and really engage you in the story!
7. Ingo - Helen Dunmore
I saw this book sitting on the shelf at the library in the children's section and I thought it looked good. I absolutely ADORED Ingo! It's a mermaid novel with a twist I suppose, seeing as they're not technically mermaids. I highly recommend it!
8. Space Race - Sylvia Waugh
I loved this book! So unique! This is why it's great going to the library because you discover books that you never would have picked up before!
9. Matilda - Roald Dahl
This is probably the only book that I have re-read a few times, it's always been an all time favourite and whenever I see it in the library I want to take it out again, I really should buy me own copy!
10. The Lightning Thief - Rick Riordan
I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH!! I read it before I started blogging and I really want to do a re-read of them again. I think the third one was the first book I read on my Kindle...*feels nostalgic*
Those are my top ten books I read before I started blogging, what are yours?
