Hello everyone!
I hope you are well and that you've had a good week. My week hasn't been great, but I'm hoping it will get better next week. I also have a virtual interview with a university next week which I'm kind of terrified for! I've been doing lots of maths to prepare for the test, but I'm not really sure what it's going to entail?!
Haaalp.
I haven't read as much as I would've liked this week BUT I have bought quite a few books (it's an unhealthy coping mechanism shh). To be fair, pretty much all of them are 99p or free! 💃
Quite a mix of books this week! I adore middle-grade books. They're lighthearted and make me feel happy. I also bought the second Poldark book as I have the first one out from the library, and I'd like to read the series.
I also bought The Eyes of Darkness as I've been keen to read pandemic/virus books lately. I was very disappointed. It felt like a badly written supernatural horror - not what I was expecting.
I also bought The Nightingale after reading all the rave reviews for it. It's going to break my heart so I won't read it yet.
I also bought a few Christian books lately. The good thing about the current situation in is that we start to realise our own mortality and that not every day is guaranteed. It puts our attention on more important things. I'm hoping these books will help me grow closer to Jesus in my walk with Him.
Ooh, pretteh. Even though my physical library is inaccessible at the moment due to lockdown, I'm making good use of its digital resources. I've heard such good things about Crown of Feathers. Earth Swarm sounds very interesting, and I have City of Brass next to my bed waiting to be read so I'd like to read the sequel next!
I'm so thankful to the publishers for sending me these books in exchange for an honest review! I'm so excited for the three middle-grade books and Sandhya Menon's new book. The Court of Miracles sounds amazing too!
What books did you add to your TBR this week? Have you read any of these or are you looking forward to reading any of them?
