Goodreads: Carmen got the jeans at a thrift shop. They didn’t look all that great: they were worn, dirty, and speckled with bleach. On the night before she and her friends part for the summer, Carmen decides to toss them. But Tibby says they’re great. She'd love to have them. Lena and Bridget also think they’re fabulous. Lena decides that they should all try them on. Whoever they fit best will get them. Nobody knows why, but the pants fit everyone perfectly. Even Carmen (who never thinks she looks good in anything) thinks she looks good in the pants. Over a few bags of cheese puffs, they decide to form a sisterhood and take the vow of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants . . . the next morning, they say good-bye. And then the journey of the pants — and the most memorable summer of their lives — begins.

One word only can describe this book. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I'm serious. This book is one of those books that when you've finished reading it, you just close your eyes, take a breath and think about what you've just read.

The author has written this book in a way that you feel what the character's are feeling, you sympathize with them, you empathize with them.  You feel like you're included with them. And they characters? They're brilliant! You can see exactly how their lives are now and how they were previously. They're all best friends but they're all so different which makes the story even more interesting!

There's Carmen, the narrator in the prologue and the epilogue, she is known as the sensitive one, the caring one. There's Bridget, wild, outgoing, energetic and gorgeous. But as you go through the book, you see how she really is inside. Their is Tibby, the skinny rebel of the story. You can see why she is a bit of a rebel and you begin to understand her. And then last, but not least, my favourite...Lena! Lena is nicknamed Aphrodite because she is so beautiful, in this graceful, artistic way. She dresses in clothes that don't attract too much attention to herself as she is very shy and the thing she loves best, is to sit in a peaceful, quiet place and paint. I'm not sure why but I just adored Lena, it's like we clicked, does that make sense? :)

So if you're looking for an enchanting, magical read about four friends that are as close as sisters and a special pair of pants, READ THIS BOOK! You won't regret it!

I give it: 5 CUPCAKES
