February Wrap-Up and March TBR Pile!

I cannot believe it's the end of February. WHAT IS THIS?! Why is 2017 going so fast? SLOW DOWN, gosh.

I'm super excited for March because SPRING and the clocks go forward which basically means it's summer, right? I am SO ready for the warmer weather, not having to wear 500 layers of clothes and all the pretty flowers springing up (they make great bookstagram props, don't they?).

I had a really good February, actually. It's definitely been one of the best months I've had in awhile. I had my eighteenth birthday which you can read more about here, it was one of the best birthdays I've ever had and just thinking about that day gives me warm, fuzzy feelings!

I've also had a really great month with my anxiety WHICH IS AWESOME AND MAKES ME WANT TO FLAIL WITH JOY. I went to a homeopath who gave me natural drops for various things (one of those things being anxiety) and I definitely feel like they're starting to work! I've been feeling calmer, I've been sleeping better, I haven't been so "stuck" in all my worries and thoughts as well which has been doing great things for my productivity levels because for once I'm actually thinking of other things besides my anxiety. 😂

I also finally finished all my school work for this school year so I've started with my intense revision and today went pretty well. I studied all the topics for my one maths exam today and I did 2 past papers which I got pretty good marks for and I went to my English tutor and she was quite pleased with what I'd done so YAY! I'm beginning to get quite nervous now though as I realised my first exam is in two months and one week but if I stick to my schedule, I should manage to get the adequate revision in for all my subjects!

I'm actually really proud that I managed to read 7 books, this month - go me! I LOVED Unconventional, it was so geeky and cute and the romance gave me SO MANY feels. I FREAKING LOVED WINDFALL AND I WANT TO SHOVE A COPY OF IT INTO EVERYONE'S HANDS BECAUSE IT'S INCREDIBLE. Like, it's over 400 pages and I read it in an afternoon. THAT NEVER HAPPENS. Ever. I am not one of those people who can sit and read a book for hours straight so if that doesn't scream that it's a brilliant book, I don't know what does. The characters were incredible and the story and the romance and it's definitely a new favourite of mine!

The Monstrous Child and Journey to Jo'burg were okay. The Monstrous Child had so much potential, but the protagonist's bitterness and sarcasm became overbearing and the plot was lacking, so I didn't love it as much as I thought I would. Journey to Jo'burg dealt with a difficult topic in a brutally honest matter but as it's a children's book for a very young age group, I just found it too simply written so I didn't love it *as* much as I would've had I read it when I was younger.

THEN, I discovered the Broken Dreams series on Amazon and I devoured the three books in a week because they're SO GOOD. They're not the best books ever written, but they tugged at my heart strings and they made me unable to put them down and I just really adored it, guys. Also, now I have a very strong desire to start ballet again.

I had a pretty good reading month and I discovered a new favourite book which always makes me very happy.

After I read my latest library books, I am not loaning any more books for awhile! I really want to start working on whittling down my TBR pile. I'm at the library pretty much all the time so it's going to be hard going and not checking anything out. BUT I CAN DO THIS. I think.

Another book I'm hoping to read this month is Bone Gap, which I started the weekend but haven't been able to read more of yet because school/socialising etc but I'm so excited to read more of it because the first 60 pages I read were brilliant!

A pretty hefty TBR pile but hopefully I'll get through it, especially seeing as quite a few of the books are pretty thin. Wish me luck haha!

What books are you planning on reading this month? What was the best book you read last month? LET'S TALK!
