December Wrap-Up and January TBR Pile

Ahh, it's 2015. I remember 2014 like it was yesterday. :') I'M SORRY I HAD TO DO THAT.

I go back to school on Monday (asdfghjkl) and I haven't actually read many of the books I were planning on reading BUT I did finish rereading the Percy Jackson series which was on my list. I feel so accomplished in life. I was planning on reading City of Heavenly Fire and finishing the Harry Potter series but then I discovered Skulduggery Pleasant. And I've kinda been marathoning the series. Do I regret it? Nope. Not at all. READ IT.

I didn't read as much as I'd hoped to, but I read a fair(ish) amount.

Books I read:
The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #2)The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series #3)The Battle of the Labyrinth (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #4)The Last Olympian (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #5)Skulduggery Pleasant (Skulduggery Pleasant, #1)Playing with Fire (Skulduggery Pleasant, #2)The Faceless Ones (Skulduggery Pleasant, #3)Dark Days (Skulduggery Pleasant, # 4)Confessions: The Paris Mysteries (Confessions, #3)The Importance of Being EarnestHouse of Robots: (House of Robots 1)

Ta-da! Percy Jackson was flawless, as usual. I finished Blood of Olympus in November and I was so nostalgic, I just had to reread the series. I LOVE PERCY SO MUCH. I also received the last Skulduggery Pleasant book a few months ago to review and I decided that, because I'm on holiday, I'm going to try to read some of the series. I'm currently nearly done with book 5 and they are honestly so good. I always avoided them because I thought they looked kind of creepy (I know I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, but I'm pretty sure it's something we all do, even though we hate to admit it!) but they are SO GOOD! I love the humor and the characters and the plots and the TWISTS. Holy chicken soup, the ending in the fourth book was crazy. It blew my mind. For real.

I also had to read The Importance of Being Earnest for school and I LOVED it! I don't read many plays or classics, so I was quite hesitant but it was fantastic and hilarious and I want to read more Oscar Wilde.

I also read House of Robots and the third Confessions book which I received to review. I both liked them, they weren't the best but they were enjoyable reads!

Books I'm Hoping to Read (but probably won't because I'm terrible with these things):
Paper or PlasticColonial MadnessOne of the GuysThrone of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)The Dagger in the Desk (Lockwood & Co., #1.5)Death Bringer (Skulduggery Pleasant, #6)Kingdom of the Wicked (Skulduggery Pleasant, #7)Fairy Tale Reform School: Flunked

Well, if this isn't an ambitious list then I don't know what is. These are mainly arcs, besides the two Skulduggery Pleasant books which I'll be reading next because, as I said, I'm addicted to the series. The others are books I need to review for February/March and Throne of Glass is a book that I've heard endless good things about and it's the read-along read for the 2015 TBR pile reading challenge - so I think it's high time I read it!

These are the books I hope to get to this month! Which books are you hoping to read in the month of January?
