Hi guys!

Everybody knows how much I loved the Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness and for World Book Day, I was extremely privileged to be able to interview him! Enjoy the interview! :)

1. How did you get the idea for the Chaos Walking trilogy and how long did it take you to write each of the books?
Just concerns I had about the world already being pretty noisy, with the internet and social networking and stuff; I thought what if you couldn't get away.  And about year for each book.

2. Did you celebrate when you found out that The Knife of Never Letting Go was being published and if so, how?

Well, it was my third published book, so I really celebrated when the first was published, but mainly just quietly with friends.  That's my style.

*IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE KNIFE OF NEVER LETTING GO YET, THE NEXT QUESTION IS A SPOILER*

3. When I read The Knife of Never Letting Go, it broke my heart to see that you killed *spoiler*Manchee, *spoiler* I'm not sure if I can forgive you for that :P. Why did you kill him?

It's how he would have wanted to go.  As a hero.

4. What genre of books do you generally read and what are you currently reading?

I read all kinds of books, and that's I think the most important part of reading.  Never be a snob, who knows what an unexpected book might offer.  I'm currently reading The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes.

5. Are you busy planning/writing any other books at the moment?

Yep, I have a brand new YA novel called More Than This out in September!  A different sort of thing, hope everyone likes it.

Hope you enjoyed it! If you haven't yet read his books...you need to!
